How assistive technology has helped him: Assistive technology has granted him the ability to demonstrate his intelligence by way of an eye-gaze, head array, and a DynaVox V (5). The eye-gaze and DynaVox allow Matthew to read, do math, and otherwise participate in class in a way that previously was very difficult. The head-array gives Matthew the opportunity to drive himself around in his chair, rather than having someone push him everywhere.
